Baby Signs
Baby Signs is a program that teaches simple signs to babies and toddlers. The purpose is to give them the tools to communicate with us before they can say the words. The process of teaching signs to babies is as simple as saying the word and signing at the same time. In addition to taking advantage of learning moments throughout the day, we also read a Baby Signs book at Story Time and sing a Baby Signs song at Music Time.
During Story Time, Beebo the Baby Signs Bear "reads" a story to the children. The excitement of Beebo helps to engage the children and reinforce the signs your child is already learning throughout the day.

During Music Time, we sing a selected Baby Signs song that focuses on a few specific signs. I use concept cards in conjunction with the signs so the children know what the signs symbolize. The children enjoy the songs and can even be heard singing them throughout the day on occasion.
If your child is young enough for Baby Signs to be applicable, I will supply a free reference card of signs. It also includes simple steps for teaching the signs to your child yourself.
