Philosophy
- A child cannot be spoiled with the love and attention he or she needs and deserves.
- Every child is an individual who has his or her own rate of development and learning with his or her own preferences. Each child is accepted, loved, nurtured, and taught as an individual with this thought in mind.
- A variety of activities will be offered in a safe and nurturing environment. They are designed to encourage
- Imagination and creativity
- A sense of self-worth, positive self image, and self confidence
- Physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth.
- Each child is guided through the day with positive reinforcement in all activities, always encouraged to try and try again, encouraged but never pressured into participation in any activity.
- Discipline is always handled on the belief that the child is a good person. It is his or her behavior that is unacceptable and needs to be changed or guided to a more acceptable means of expressions. Limits, boundaries, and choices are provided, and acceptable behavior is modeled. The child is made aware of what is expected of him or her and assisted with meeting expectations in a nurturing and patient manner. Please ask to see the discipline and guidance policy for more information on discipline methods.
- Parents are welcome to visit their children anytime during the day. I encourage parent involvement and participation.
- My main concern and goal in caring for your child is to see your child grow physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally to the best of his or her ability. Please feel free to offer your advice and suggestions at any time.
